About the Bakery
Kcirtap’s Home Baked Goods is an Ohio Cottage Bakery serving vegan homemade treats, made from scratch and delivered with love to central Ohio.

Who is Kcirtap?
And how do you pronounce it?
Hi! My name's Patrick, I'm the guy behind this one-man operation.
I get a lot of questions about how to pronounce the bakery name. Kcirtap (pronounced KIR-tæp) is actually my name spelled backwards!
Mission
I’m a firm believer in supporting your local community. Currently, I bring homemade baked goods to Studio 18 where we host weekly community art nights and manage the Saturday Morning Art Market to keep our fellow artists and vendors fueled and encouraged. My long-term goal is to open a brick and mortar where I can host events, workshops and provide a third space for the community.

Why I started a micro-bakery?
I started Kcirtap’s Home Baked Goods for a couple of reasons. I earned my Culinary Arts diploma and have at least 13 years of professional cooking experience. But after spending years working in kitchens and hard trades experiencing the same poor workplace conditions, my health began declining rapidly. I dealt with abusive management, toxic work culture, non-livable compensation, and little to no work-life balance. As a result, my scoliosis and other health issues worsened and I was diagnosed as diabetic.
After my last position, I started looking at starting my own business to manage my time and energy within my physical limitations. I started cooking around the age of 14, and I’ve always been passionate about food. My love of baking in particular started as a small child when my mother used to bake and decorate cakes for my sister and I to take to school. Her cakes were so well done, the teachers and students swore up and down that she just bought them from the stores and didn’t actually make them!
How it got started?
2024 - Founding
In 2024, I started building up some products for Kcirtap’s using sourdough to help with gut health and experimenting with reduced sugar content to yield healthier treats. Since I'd begun to make some personal diet changes for my health, I realized more people might also appreciate having a good dessert that they can enjoy without making the physical sacrifice later.
2025 - Markets and Vending
In 2025, I began occasionally vending at Studio 18’s Saturday Morning Art Market selling scones and cookies. Later, I was invited to vend at the Clintonville Jamboree and the menu began to expand. I added brownies and one of our current, most popular products: puff tarts. While vending, I received several inquiries about vegan options and realized I should take it a step further.
2026 - First Wholesale
At the start of 2026, I transitioned all of my current recipes to vegan alternatives and gained my first wholesale customer. Orders have been getting bigger and more frequent, and I'm beyond grateful for how much the bakery has grown!
